Support the Foundation

The Entity Church Foundation is the neutral steward of the entity-system protocol — it keeps the standard open, documented, and free to build on, and governs the process rather than owning the asset. Supporting the foundation means helping that stewardship continue: a standard people can rely on has to be owned by everyone and beholden to no one.

There is nothing to buy here, and the protocol stays free to use either way. The concrete ways to support the work are being put together, and this page will carry them shortly. In the meantime, the most useful things are already open:

• Use it — run a peer, hold your own data, build on the substrate.
• Build with it — implement against the spec; independent peers that interoperate are what proves the standard.
• Help steward it — read the system, challenge it in the open, and bring changes back through the convergence process.

The plan is to eventually transition to a standalone organization, but the foundation is currently being incubated by Bill over at Bill's Lab. If you want to provide financial support for Bill and his coffee habit, check out his Ko-fi page. Any help is greatly appreciated!
